Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Rosalyn and I love to cook, bake and stay healthy! I am married to a wonderful man, Will, who is the best life partner I could imagine. I cannot think of a better way to spend my time in the kitchen than to cook for the people I love. I seldom skip an opportunity to bring some muffins to church or bake cookie bars for guests on a Friday night.
As soon as I graduated from college and moved into my first apartment with friends, I knew that I wanted to stay healthy. I cooked a lot of my own food and tried to exercise regularly, but I struggled to stay on track. After getting married in June 2016, my husband and I decided that we wanted to make staying fit an important part of our life. We started working out regularly at our local YMCA. In May 2017 a coworker told me that she was doing a Whole30 and felt great! I was intrigued and brought the idea up to Will – he was not excited at first but after sending him information and answering his questions through the Whole30 website he was in! We planned to start in June, the day after a friend’s wedding. We learned so much during the reset and more than anything we realized that how we were eating before was not sustainable for our goals.
Along with staying healthy, our faith is important to us! We moved to Duluth, Minnesota last summer to support a small church and it was a great decision. Not only is Duluth a beautiful city to live in, God has shown us how much he can do when we trust his plan!
